When it comes to sport games it's really hard to give a tight firm review. I believe I've played with the main features of the game and how it plays.

You'll find that graphically MLB 12 the show looks a lot like MLB 11 the show. Thing is when you play the games you can tell that a LOT has changed underneath. I have seen balls that would have stay straight last year would bend due to wind this year. Also ground balls give infielders a little more trouble this year when the ball has a lot of backspin on them. This holds true to the PS3 and Vita Versions of the game.

RTTS thankfully continues what it does best. You set up a character, you either chose your team(don't bother they will trade you in the minors at some point) or you get drafted and shoved into some team. You spend your time in a basic Role playing game making you better and better statistically but you gotta prove it on the baseball field. You can turn off certain aspects of the game or you can watch other moments that you are not involved in. I prefer to hit and play defense on balls that come to me. I also turn off base running, so after I got my hit I'm off to the next play. Best part if you can play a game in a few minutes so if you only have a few minutes you can get a fill of some baseball and come back and continue later(if you are a starting pitcher, that could be 10-15 minutes)


In Franchise mode you are leading your team in however many options you chose in controlling the franchise. You handle ALL day to day operations short of calling people to buiy tickets. There is something about playing a full game of baseball, handing trades, drafts and putting up a sign on the billboard to advertise to make a few extra million so you can afford those free agents you desire.

This year you can transfer you save to a cloud(nothing to do with PS Plus's cloud) and save 1 save file to load on your Vita or vice versus. IMPORTANT NOTE: Vita owners can ONLY grab this file on WIFI, so even if you have 3G this will not work. Not sure why AT&T gives a 3 gig option, no one will be able to use it.



This does work very smooth and I have done this serveral times without fail and the idea of just leaving home and continuing my franchise/RTTS on the road is awesome.



Graphically again the PS3 version is awesome but this is the first test for me for Vita's hardware, while Uncharted looked awesome and there wasnt anything to truly compare, with MLB 12 the show some of the fans would look as bad as you were playing a PS2 game. yes, the fans looked that bad. Players and the fields always looked awesome and I never saw a framerate drop yet.



I tried to start a team with the cards but honestly I have so little interest I created a team but have yet to play with them. If could be fun and I'm sure in time I will actually play this mode for a bit but not even review could I want to spend 5 minutes doing this.



Online. Normally this is sucky and I normally stick away for the most part except for occassional games. Hopefully I will play a game soon. I just hate to play unless I know the person I am playing because a lot of people just drop.



I give these games a 9.0 out of 10.

Last night at Gamestop was a midnight release party. So I went there around 11:30 with my Vita to pick up a PS3 copy of Mass Effect 3, MLB 12 the show for PS3 and Vita. 1st thing was the employees(well most employees there except 1) didn't know that if you buy the PS3 version of MLB 12 the show that the Vita version was only $20. Since they had no clue and they had no code and the computer wasn't handling the issue they had no idea what to do. The one guy basically told everyone else that it's definatly supposed to take off $20 and they had it in black and white that it's supposed to happy just not sure how so they manually took it off for the sale. Everyone was getting the 360 version of Mass Effect 3(I'm getting a copy of Mass Effect 3 for my 360 later today)



I went home and during the drive home I booted up MLB 12 the show on my Vita. It looked so pretty, I'm so happy. Then I turned it back off because I can't play and drive. Anyways, I get home and unwrap MLB 12 the show for PS3, it first tells me to install patch 1.05(seriously this game just came out!!!), it also tells me it will installl 5 gigs but if I want to really speed things up it will install a 10 gig file. I was like sounds fine with me. I then goto my Vita and notice that there is a patch here too, 1.01(ok, at least that sounds normal). I then boot up and try to go online to download the latest roster updates(tells me that I need to enter my online pass), annoying but I'm like ok, I'll enter that, then bam, it doesn't recognize the code, You can't even purchase an online pass. So I start a franchise on my vita just to play around while the PS3 version is installing. I start to play on the Vita and wow, the game is so crisp and smooth. You can't see they stuff they chop out to make it faster gameplay wise and you know? I'm ok with it because I'm on a handheld.

I notice the PS3 version is done installing so I quit the game I"m playing on the Vita and as soon as I am on with the PS3 it asked me to download a roster update, so I am cursing out the Vita, why didn't the Vita Version ask me that? So I set up a roster and setup a franchise and save it then I goto choose upload to cloud, then bam here comes the online pass again and surprise the PS3 code didn't work yet either. So frustrating. I did start my franchise on the PS3 and the game play was beautiful. I refused to use the pulse pitching(I've had 4 concussions and just seeing this for 2 minutes gives me a headache). I used zone hitting and pure analog pitching and fielding. We won 3-2 in 10 innings in the first game of the year. I got a trophy for mismatching my uni, throwing a guy out at home and winning a game in extra innings.



I would recommend that everyone gets MLB 12 the show if you are a baseball fan. Just gotta wait sony out to use the cloud as promised.



Oh I setup Mass Effect 3 and there was a quick patch 1.01 and there was really no install. I basically was checking that out and then I went to bed.

I played 2 games of the demo, once on the 360, once on the PS3. Graphically the game looks the same, I did have some frame drops from time to time on the PS3 version of the demo but that could have just been a buggy animation that I can't repeat on both systems. Controls are unchange and do not take long to understand.

Unlike last year's demo the picthers are fixed to always have the same starters on each system. Kind of annoying but no big deal. I played as the Cardinals each time. and this was some notes I made.

No commentators: the atmosphere of the background of the stadium is nice but without the play by play, what is the point of the demo? i hit the second batter straight in the head with a pitch, the batter took 2 steps and stopped walking. A popup came up displaying a pinch runner but some sort of animation with a trainer or something coming out would be nice and you wonder what the broadcast team would say but no just a new batter appears and a pinch runner is on first with no animation showing him besides his picture on the screen.

In the 3rd inning I gave up some runs and the home crowd let me have it. The demo gives me no access to substitute for pinch hitters or bullpen. I couldn't get my timing down hitting and lost 5-0.

In my second game I was on fire throwing 3 perfect innings, unfortunatly for me they did the same to me. In the top of the 4th(the demo goes into extras but remember no pinch hitters or bullpen). I finally hung some pitches where Texas just ripped them down the line. They took a 2-0 lead and with me not hitting anything, the game looked over. Then on the 2nd batter of the 4th, the pitcher hit Beltran in the back(he's wearing #5 btw is this actually what he's wearing?) Then 2 batters later I go yard and tie the game up at 2. The crowd gets very loud which is nice but the fireworks animation during the daytime, not so much. 2 innings later(6th inning) they PINCH HIT for the PITCHER!!! Can we say unfair? Ugg the demo kills me by cheating to have a 1 sided advantage? They score an unearned run in the top of the 6th and bring in another pitcher for the win in the 6th. That was frustrating when I almost won the game even though it's a demo, I play to win.

The background of Cardinal stadium seemed realistic, the fan animation has been unchanged and pretty bad still with people jumping for a foul ball 5 seconds after it lands in the stands. Players faces seem to look improved but body types have not.

Overall the game still seems to have the same flaws but the game is still fun. I still recommend the Show if you have a PS3. But if you don't, I think people would be happy with 2k12 this year. Shame is no effort was made to show in the demo their Be a player mode, you'd think they'd want to showcase it.

I am so excited that in 4 weeks 1 day I'll have my hands on next gen portable. I love my 3ds and it's games but with the Vita, I am drooling over it's lineup and it's potential.

Little Devients is a nice game that I like to call it's product test. I probably would have not bought this game but since it comes with the First release I'll play it.

Uncharted game is a excellent game series that I look forward to playing to go.

I am really looking forward to MLB 12 the show and switching from the PS3 version to Vita. I love the idea of taking my games on the road with me and being able to switch back and forth but I have to wait an additional 3 weeks for that. I am not hearing anything relating to PSP games playing on the Vita and if it will be available day 1 in the US and news regarding PS1 games.

Little Big Planet looks awesome on Vita but it's been delayed but for how long??? Gamestop says end of March, Target says mid may and Amazon is saying late June.

With LBP delayed I'll probably get Hot Shots Golf as well.

Ok, I rarely ever use my 3ds 3D features, when I do use it, it's very slight. So the thought of Sony's 3D TV makes me wonder if it's worth the price. Well the new year started and I had all my Best Buy coupons burning hole in my pocket and early sunday morning I noticed the price of the Playstation 3dtv display drop to $299 made it irrestiable.

I got it and hooked it up.

Easy to hook up. It took less then 10 minutes from unboxing to top of cabinet.

It came with it's own HDMI cable. Not sure why they just don't do this on PS3 systems.

No remote control!!!!!! Very frustrating but since there is no changing channels I really only have to turn it on and maybe adjust volume.

Only 1 pair of glasses!!! Think about this, it costs $70 for another pair of glasses and the main point of the display is Simulview which can't be used without another set of glasses. Maybe skip the HDMI cable and free game go with another set of glasses.

I played a few hours of MLB 11 the show to test the 3d. Awesome colors and 3d effect and I love the commentary commented that the game is being displayed in 3d.

I've played Motorstorm with Simulview already which is really effective and fun.

I'm looking at getting another 360 to go with the PS3 on the tv. I came off really excited and happy with the purchase and would recommend for purchasing. I am looking at trying out GT5 in 3D tonight.

First off for those to don't me, I've guest hosted on 360 Nation and am really proud gamer so this list is extremly genuine and true and I've played all of these games(not completed all because I only have certain amount of time) I will go from 10 to 1.

10. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Excellent deep game. I can never explain how excellen this game is. BUT... any game with such severe issues on a console will have punishments from me because I have family members that don't have internet access and are stuck with the bugs they have released.

9. Skylanders - This game was the shock of the year for me. Ok, I've spent over $100 on a kids game but it's that good, if you havn't played this year, you will be amazed in a good way with this game.

8. Gears of War 3 - Boy, I hated the first 2 games of the series but since the game is that epic that it must be played and completed to enjoy it.

7. Little Big Planet 2 - They fixed all the main issues with the first game, made level building so much better. Gotta love Sackboy. Kudos to all the level builders.

6. NBA 2k12 - I don't think people really know how great this game is. They have made a game with so many old time players to put into the current game. And the gameplay is very accurate to the real NBA based on each era of basketball.

5. Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword - It's Zelda, Link and all your friends and wow, the new motion controls work and if all the other games on the Wii don't sell you, this is everything I've wanted from a game.

4. Forza Motorsport 4 - It's deep, competitive and I'd say it's a must own from any one who enjoys riding in a car and having it feel real.

3. Uncharted 3 - I've played all 3 Uncharted game in the last 2 weeks. I can say this is the best of the 3. And would have been 2010 game of the year.

2. Super Mario 3d Land - If you dont own a 3ds, shame on you, go buy one.

1. Batman Arkham City - I'm batman, they fixed everything and minus the cat woman levels this was a perfect game.

Well, I found out this morning that Toys R Us no longer wants my business. Since TRU has had the reward zone, I've shopped and purchased more games and TRU and of coarse at Christmas I've mixed my shopping between Best Buy and TRU to get the most points I can to get extra $$$ to spend on games after Christmas. For example after last Christmas I bought Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 for $5 with all my reward $s I collected. Well, now, they split my money into 2 different date sections so I don't spend it all at once and cant buy any big items unless I spend my own cash but now on the coupons they exclude video games. It used to just stated Video game hardware but now the coupon states they exclude, video games, video game hardware and video game assessories. The good news is for Best buy who will defaultly get more of my business.

Ok, Now that basketball is coming back, I'm finally sinking time into NBA 2k12. I've done 12 of the 15 legends to unlock to unlock teams and I only have 3 more games to play to unlock the rest and should be completed tonight.

I started sitting down looking closer when I look at rosters online and I can trade or assign players to a team even if they are on the old time squad. So my plan for this year's association is to update and make my best teams I can make.

These are the adds I am planning on making to every team based on the overall skill level on the team at that time was over 70 and that they would have a better overall ranking then other players on that team. The cutline is the highest ranking player on the team that doesn't stay on the 15 man roster. The Lakers 12 man roster will not have a single player below a rank of 80. Only the Celtics can say the same. Lakers are also the only team with 4 players with a ranking over 90, The 76ers, Bucks, Bulls, Thunder, Warriors have 3 players over 90.

The Sixers/Celtics/Knicks/Lakers seem to have the most additions. It should be interesting to see how the teams work together.

The most interesting things is with some teams centers. Sixers have 2 Centers ranked 94 and a PF ranked 94, do I have a Center play PF and have the PF play Small forward??? I better win on the glass.

Magic will have simular issues at Center with O'Neal and Howard. I wonder if the teams will try to make a blockbuster trade?

Also there should be some nice players available as free agents and how will each teams salary caps look like?

I was playing MLB 11 last night and I am playing my franchise mode, I was down 6-2 in the 9th inning and scored 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth to win the game which was epic. I was tired to start the game but I so woke up after that great win. With 3 weeks to go in my franchise reg season, I'm down by 2 games.

Ahh FIFA, the world's best selling sports game. I have to admit having FIFA 11 and liking it but it lacked some things. Thankfully with Pro Evolution Soccer as an option EA feels forced to keep the game fresh. Wow, does it show. Now I have EA Season Ticket, the only thing not available to me was the Ultimate team, since I never really use this option I feel ok reviewing.

I won't touch on 100% of the game then and will just give my opinion.

I played a few online games, of those games, I only had 1 high scoring game and that ended in a 3-3 tie. No lag, no hickups, nothing.

In franchise(Career), is excellent. Being american and from the Philadelphia Area I chose the Philadelphia Union. The game starts up in January 2011. You can sign players, rent players, transfer (trade) with other clubs around the world paying a huge fee to convince a player to come to your club and even if you pay a player has an option not to accept your contract for lack of money because they don't want to come to America. This mode is really cool and really heats up on the last day where a lot of money is spent and is really wild.

Gameplay wise, the game's defensive, is really impressive, if you don't play with these controls you will be exploided and give up easy goals. Offensively you need to pass around and find opening against a defense. You can default the controls back to the old way but you can not play that way online.

Also, I love the new player impact system and when players are fighting for the ball it's not automatic that a defender will win a ball. I love seeing the players flop when they are hit and it makes the game completly real to me. Also, remember to use your subs and keep your team happy. I had a player complaining about lack of playing time and I put him in for a few games and the player thanked me for giving him time.

The menu system is easy to follow and gets you where you need to go quickly and is easy to understand.

Another thing that EA is allowing this year is Support your team. Think of it as the ultimate RPG in sports. You chose your favorite team. You get XP from doing different things in the game. Even starting the game gives you 10XP. Now the points you earn levels you up. As I write this I'm a level 4 player. Now all your points also goto your team. I know you are saying how is this fair? Manchester United or Barcelona will easily win this, well, it's based on average, your team even in MLS has just as much a chance to win as your best clubs. So the more all players are playing the game, the better your team is doing.

I highly recommend playing this game if you enjoy soccer. If you don't play soccer, this game might be too tough with all the controls you need to learn. Otherwise, see you online.

Last night I tested the demo of Burnout Crash on 360. It was a short glimpse of fun. I prefer this game portable, this should honestly be something to play on the go on the DS or PSP. I'd wait for the price to drop to $5 or 400 MS points before buying.

I recieved F1 2011, expect a review after the weekend.

Ok, I've whined, b***hed and moaned and today I preordered NBA 2k12 on the 360. If I whined so much why did I preorder? Well, I want DR. J on my Sixers because everyone else sucks. I know there will be a roster update later on. I got the 360 version this year mainly because the better online gamers are on the 360 and I want a challenge since I won't be playing franchise(association) till the rosters with rookies are updated.

I played the demo, it was depressing, no announcers and I think they were trying to do something cool on the floor before the game but I didn't get it without the sound from announcers. Also the demo had 1 short quarter, hard to get a feel for the game in 1 qtr.

I played FIFA 12 demo and the game felt right. Training to control the team seems like work but I understand what they are doing and the training makes sense, I just gotta get used to doing it over and over. 2 days to start that game up via the PS3.

Pro Evolution Soccer 12 took me a bit to get the controls but in this demo, I didn't enjoy the controls as much. FIFA seems more comfortable to play even with all the advance mechanics they have introduced this year.

I agree counterstrike is totally a flashback, our last flashback though was Duke Nukem and we all know how that ended.

I was listening, Halo 4 is the beginning of the new trilogy. I will stand back and hope that Halo 4 is still worth it.

This weekend I am going to make a serious run at playing Gears of War 1 and Gears of War 2. Any recommendations or strategies to beating these games quickly so I know the story before hitting #3?

Sports games, I buy them every year. Been playing Madden 12 and NHL 12 and last week a report came out that NBA 2k12 will not be delayed but rookies will not be part of the game because of the lockout. Now the NFL had provisions to make sure the rookies were part of the game so whether they had a lockout or not Madden was protected. I'm not an idoit and I know that the rookies will be in the game once the lockout is over. Question is do the other features in NBA 2k12 do enough to keep everyone happy? Right now I don't know. I can't tell you the last time I went without getting a new sports game during a year but it's possible this year but I will likely get it because I know Dr. J is in the game. I will probably wait to see if there is a sale on the game because of the lockout making it cheaper then $60.

Ok, I downloaded NHL 12 friday night and I have played a lot throughout the weekend and wow what a game. Played some Franchise and had a lot of fun.

NHL 12 is great unless you are from Winnipeg. EA Sports hates you. I'm ok with it as a Flyers fan but having the NHL logo representing the franchise when the logo has been out for months is really unexcusable. I'm ok about the uniforms but the symbols were released a long time ago and the old Winnipeg uniforms, which I guess are not connected to Phoenix any more are usable to play with but the default are 2 plain NHL uniforms.

Scoring is no longer easy. I used to poke the hell out of a goalie and get some cheap goals, which I have now stopped since I have had a record number of goaltender interferrence penalties.

I have fought 1 goaltender, for the most part, you challenge a goaltender and a defensemen will jump in to fight you instead. i wish there was some animation showing this instead it just seems like there are 2 people on the ice during a fight which is just not real and has annoyed me for years.

You want to play as a legend? You can do that in the Be a Legend mode but expect a lot of work if you want Lemeuix or Gretsky because you have 8 other legends to unlock first.

Online games were smooth but only season ticket holders were online so it wasn't over crowded.

Collision detection is awesome in this game and when a player is injuried you can see why and how he was injured.

I'd say this game is a must buy for NHL fans but you could skip it if you had last years game, I've averages about 2-5 goals per game in this edition and last year I averaged about 5-8 goals per game.

Ok, I rented Dirt 3 from gamefly, heard nothing but some positives. But I've rented the game and I skip buying the stuff to play online but what happens in the game, it constantly whores out if you haven't entered the code that would come with the game if you bought it or if you are renting you feel that you have to buy the stuff or you are missing the experience. Before playing I was thinking of buying this title but after being abused by pretend sales guys, I will not buy this title or play any more of it, it has been returned to gamefly with a bad review.

I spent most of my weekend out and gone to the beach. I love the smell of the beach. Anyways, in gaming I was doing pretty good, It was a week or so ago I saw the credits in Pokemon White and I felt good that I finished that game. Now I'm a huge gamer and I know that in Pokemon games it's never completely over. I thought I was completed because I never actually finish a game but wow this feels a little more intense. There feels like a lot more areas to explore and the wild pokemon are tougher Now I can move pokemon from Soul Silver over but since I stopped at the completion of that game my pokemon were only level 50 and I am constantly running into level 60+ pokemon. I think I poured about 4-5 more hours into that game this weekend. I of coarse played Madden and MLB the show. I'm in my 2nd year in the majors and still having hitting issues. I lost my starting job for awhile and worked my way back into the lineup. Now I am struggling again. I love this game only because it frustrates me so much and feel it's my fault. I got a message from gamefly, I am expecting to recieve Dirt 3 in the mail today for the 360. I'll let you all know what I think. We are expecting 6 inches of rain today. I never knew Delaware is the new Seattle.

Yes, I'm a sucker, but I figured I don't get anything out of the extra cards and crap from collectors edition and I bought the Season Ticket Package from EA via PS3

I was able to download Madden 12 around 6pm est friday night, took some research and twitter following to get it at that point. It was almost 5 gigs so it's a healthy size game. The only thing that isn't available in the game is the Ultimate team and frankly, I'm ok with that. You also can't collect Trophies or achievements but they will unlock once you have the full version of the game and all your save files will be playable day one.

I started up franchise, the first thing that stands out to me is the graphics, wow. They look outstanding. The blades of grass and even in the rain, it just gives a better look and feel. Also it seems the players run a little more natural and I can't stop on a dime like I used to.

Rosters are expanded and I started the first game of preseason and I noticed Kolb was there for the Eagles and bam, I relized I never got a roster update. So I went online and yes it was there. I had to restart franchise and I was off and running.


In preseason, be prepared to get used to playing with your backups and in some situations you have players that you might have in backup positions that you won't want playing there to avoid injuries.

Game 1, I had my starters in for the 1st QTR, 2nd string for the 2nd and 3rd string in the 3rd and 4th.
Game 2, I had my starters in for the 1st half and 2nd string in the for the 2nd half, 3rd string came in mid 4th.
Game 3, I had my starters in for the 1st half and 2nd string in the for the 2nd half
Game 4, was all 3rd string.

After each game you have to make roster cuts. I have to say I had a few players I wasn't sure about. I also signed T.O. as a 4th string WR and Brian Westbrook as 3rd string RB to 1 year contracts.

I started my season feeling good that I know my team. I won my first game versus St. Louis 28-14. During the game I lost McCoy with a shoulder injury for the game and I lost CB Rodgers-Cromartie for 8 games.

I feel game play as a single player is really improved and I feel impressed so far.

Only interesting thing about Season Ticket is you MUST have an internet connection when loading the game. During the hurricane last night I lost cable and thought I'd play some football and the error came up that I need to be online to play. A little frustrating but I had no other issues.

Me and Justin tried to get together last night but we couldn't get together at the time agreed since he needed to pack. I was thinking of creating my own podcast thing but it's just easier to post this weeks news and stuff on this blog.

Ok this weekend, I play some games this weekend.

First started my NCAA 12 dynasty mode. As PSU I won 120-20!!! My running back ran for 888 yards! This stuff should never happen, I think this shows that there is too much difference between good college football teams and others.

I played more MLB 11 the show. Played more RTTS, where it looks like my rookie year I'll be able to enjoy the entire year in the majors in the year 2013. I found it interesting that my average against lefties I'm over .300 and against righties, I'm under .200. By the end of the week I hope to be completed my rookie season.

I played more infamous. Enjoyed for an hour longer, slowly but surely I am getting through this game.

I also started Catherine. So far I'm enjoying this game, I have finished the first 2 nights. The demo didn't prepare me for what is in the game.

I also played Nascar 2011 via gamefly. I have gotta say, I understand the negative press on this game but at the same time, the game does work in it's own way. Nascar 09 seems to be a better game in depth wise but the racing is good.

After all my time of bashing and saying Catherine is just a puzzle game and that it's not worth $60, I've taken quite a bit of slack from friends and others. They told me it was totally worth the money so last night I took the dive and made the purchase. I hope to play this weekend enough to review next week.

Every March I run to the store and get MLB The Show and MLB 2k. I generally played about the same on both because I normally play a lot of 2k online. This year is different.

I am much more involved in the Road to the show mode this year.
Now I don't cheap myself, so play in All Star Mode to keep the challenge going, I've decided to be a 3rd basemen/ Right Fielder. I got drafted by the Braves. I don't do baserunning and I never watch other things and I only do hard plays on defense to keep the flow moving so I can play many years into my carreer. I started playing for AA team for the Braves and was doing really well and got to play in the MLB Futures game. After that in late July I was traded to Colorado. I ended my first season there and during the offseason they moved me to AAA. I definatly saw the improvment in talent as I struggled and in late June I sustained an injury to my legs and was unable to return to the lineup till August. After the year was over I felt like I had the talent to make it to the majors. I signed a 1 year deal with the Rockies with an invite to Spring training. I struggled all spring, never started 1 spring training game and in some spring training games I was the catcher of all positions. For some reason I always struggle as a pinch hitter. After spring training I expected to be sent to the minors for more seasoning. I was shocked on opening day not only to be on the roster but the coach had me starting. I was hitting .250 with 2 HRs and 11 RBIs when the coach suddenly changed my goals and put another player in the starting lineup at 3rd limiting me to pinch hitting duty. For some unknown reason, I can't pinch hit. I don't play as well waiting for the loading screens and then have to hit once and then wait again and I found myself under .180 average. Because of an injury to our RF I am back over .210 but in early June, it doesn't feel good and hopefully I'll get better. This game makes me love baseball more and more everytime I play it. You really get the feel of playing and it's all so real. I gotta long way to go but I really recommend everyone to pick this game up. The game is also much improved online. I recommend when you play to play with button controls for swinging and analog pitching. Look me up and hit me up for a game as well. I always play with Guess pitch off since you need to figure about ball movement to figure out the pitch, why have something that tells you a 1/4 chance of killing the ball. Later all

I'm not sure if this is because the PS3 is looking at getting a new release of new hardware or not but I went out to get a replacement secondary PS3 last night and here is what I observed.

I hit Best Buy closest to my house, they had 9 160 gig PS3s in a small section together. in part of an isle. They had about 20 Wii's also together in a small grouping(w/Mario Kart). Now next to them they had a ton of Kinects. and in the rest of the isle and the isle on the other side was xbox 360s everywhere. I think the #s were 10 to 1 360s compared to other consoles. I wanted to find a 320 gig PS3 so I moved on.

At the next Best Buy, they had 2 PS3s in stock. 1 was a 160 gig system that for some reason they had wrapped in with another control, an extra expensive HDMI cable and some other stuff at "extreme savings" they say but again I wanted a 320 gig. The other system they had was a 320 gig but was bundled with move and Sports Champions and I have that already so I moved on. BTW, there wasn't as much 360s at this store but it was still easily 5 to 1 360 consoles compared to PS3/wiis they had in stock.

Also, has anyone noticed that every time you hit the Best Buy, you feel like a girl in a skimpy dress because the sales guys won't take their eyes off you and if you pick something up they continue make observations till I tell them how much more I know more then them. Very annoying.

The next store closest to my home was a Toys r us. Because of the weird counts I was observing and there was plenty of 360s and kinects in stock. With a few Wiis and TRU had 2 PS3s in stock including a 320 gig PS3 and 320 gig move PS3. I got the 320 gig PS3, so I was happy.

Now my observations make me wonder, most of the 360s in stock were the 4 gig systems. I wonder if people see the 160 and 320 gig PS3s, dispite the price pick them up instead of the cheaper and much lower 4 gig 360 systems. I think having systems labeled with a hard drive this much lower hurts the 360 sales. I would think even if they went with a 20 gig hard drive on the low end that it was sell better. I love both systems so I am not bashing. I only have 2 PS3 systems because of my kids and PS3 makes it easy to have downloadable games on multiple systems.

I've installed and setup the new system last night and look forward to playing some games later tonight.

I finished Back to the Future part 5. Most definatly the longest of the 5, felt that way anyway. Game had same enjoyable feel of the first 4, I'd give the whole series a 7 out of 10. Worthy to play, does have it's bugs but overall better then the norm.

I'm going to be ditching my secondary PS3 60 gig launch system. I'm sick of sending the consoles back and forth. I still have my PS2 to play last gen games and a lot of the last gen games that are worth playing are coming to PS3 as well. I'll be getting a slim model as it's replacement. Generally I use this console while the kids are gaming in the other room and there has been issues with this system freezing up during gaming during disk and nondisk games, so I know its the console overall.

I think I'll be playing some infamous tonight and try to finish that story. I think I have to be getting closer to finishing this game up.

This weekend I played Back to the Future episodes 1-4. I love this series of games. A lot of fun, corny story, I am excited to play episode 5 tonight.

I know Catherine comes out today, I saw no deals today, so I'll be putting that on the waiting list for a deal, until it goes below $40, I am not getting it.

Also, I'm a huge Star Wars fan but I think everyone has seen the Star Wars Kinect game, is anyone really interested in getting an R2D2 360? I rarely use Kinect, my son uses it more and he even finds that move works better.

Now until Madden 12, there is nothing to buy and 2 weeks later NHL 12 comes out, then a revamped FIFA 12. So through September I have no purchases except sporting games, with a possible purchase of Driver San Francisco, pending on reviews, demo. And Catherine if it goes below $40.

I have a huge backlog of games so I look forward to go through this soon. What is everyone else doing?
