Literally after we finished recording last week we got the news that South Australian Attorney General Michael Atkinson had resigned leading the way for Australia to finally get an R Rating for video games.

This week Game On! will send him off with a few segments sprinkled throughout the show with classic quotes from one of the biggest douchebags ever to be in Australian Parliament - Senator Stephen Conroy is a close second. A very close second.

We'll also talk about what we've been playing and it's been a sad state of affairs for myself as being low on cash and energy I've only managed to play a couple of games - Arkham Asylum and Prince of Persia The Sands of Time. I'm sure Todd will have more to play then me this week.

In the news we'll talk about the new 3DS which is sure to fuel Todd and mine's hate for Nintendo even more. The guy's at Nintendo have barely utilised the DSi, the Motion Plus and the Wii Fit so I'm sure there is not going to be a lot of support for this new entry. Sony shouldn't be opening their mouth about it either after the PSP Go. Just saying.

The Main Event this week comes from our buddy Hedges where we'll be discussing The Age of Awesome. Hedges asked if we thought the gaming market was saturated with too much awesomness - this year we've already seen some AAA titles emerge like Bayonetta, Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2 and God of War III and there are plenty more to come like Just Cause 2, Mafia II, Super Street Fighter IV, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and there's probably a bunch of other cool stuff we don't even know about yet. So what are your thoughts? Is the market so awesome that it's hard to keep up with it all? Is the benchmark being set to high? Should we all start panicing and looting our towns?
