Last time i posted on my blog i had an apiffany the other time i posted, and that was "hey, why am i summing up what happened at E3?! Most people who are even reading this probably watch the show, duh!" and realized that i wasted my time lol. So screw all that, im just going to talk about what i thought was good and impressive and what i believe won the show. Ok if you read the other post you would know that i was disappointed with microsoft and ubisoft, sony had a better show of most but nintendo totally won the show! Konami was just weird and awkward at times. Why was nintendo conference the best? Because they had the most interesting announcements and I do kinda want a 3DS, it looks kewl. When they showed Donkey Kong i was sold, Kirby looked fantastic, Metroid looked solid. Sony was a close second, why? Because they didnt show the things that i really wanteed to see: Last Guardian, Agent, Final Fantasy versus 13, PSP2. Nintendo did a total turn around and basically showed stuff for the core gamers, unlike last years fiasco. Sure Sony had Killzone 3, Infamous 2, GT5 Realease Date(FINALLY!), but these werent really surprises or what we needed to know about. I wanted to know more about Last Guardian and Agent, those were so left in the dark and were big announcements last year but they didnt show anything this E3. We knew Killzone would be there along with Infamous, they should have showed some more of infamous instead of just a trailer but thats ok. But DAMN, show me some last guardian lol! Twisted Metal was a plus, but i wasnt really surprised about that i kinda figured Jaffe would be working on a Twisted Metal game and it looks awesome. Gabe Newel had to eat some crow which was pretty funny, atleast we know Portal 2 will be on PS3 so thats good. But seriously, they needed more, i liked what i saw but expected more of a bang. Nintendo was pretty awesome through out, and no vitality sensor which probably means its not as BIG as everyone thinks it is. Microsoft was a huge slap to the face for me, like 75% of the things shown was Kinect related and it really didnt prove that it could be kewl for gaming, i mean Sony atleast showed some titles and had the Move integrated and worked well with games. The only thing that looks good for Kinect was Child of Eden, that was it.
So in closing Sony was good but not great, Microsoft was clearly not aiming at any of the core audience at the show, and Nintendo had the best show! Nintendo>Sony>Microsoft
Gaming put aside, what else i did this week was taking my nephews and nieces to the lake to celebrate a birthday, my 3rd oldest nephew turned 17. Had a barbecue, ate to many burgers, pulled a cramp while swimming, didnt drown lol. We had one of those blow up rafts which we blew up going down some rocks but had a fun time. Played some Volleyball, to many burgers kinda hindered my skills but we had fun. Went to the lake at 11 am and came back at 9 pm, so yeah i was pretty tired when we got back. He blew out the candles and i passed the f**k out on the couch, woke up on the floor sore as hell and went home. Man what a week, I had my friends PS3 but he wanted me to ship it to him because he was bored and wanted to play some games so im back to square one... i think i should repair my PS3 now hehe, but i had to lend my brother some money so i think ill wait awhile. Dont worry folks Ill be back online soon... i hope
Keep on gaming,
laterzz
