The series that IMO salvaged the lost art of beat'em ups! Well if you consider that the Saturn was home to most of the awesome 32bit beat'em ups; but was lost in the PS/N64 dookie shuffle. This series also inspired me to pick up the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel for more tales of legendary Chinese badasses, although I've yet to read it as I've been too busy playing Dynasty Warriors or Warhawk.

Probably the only good thing to come of Hideous Kojima subjecting us to his Michael Bay-game designer antics. Harry Gregson Williams's awesome MGS2 theme. Look ma! I can outrun fireballs!

How Team Ninja went from in-your-face VIOLENCE music for DOA2; to Aerosmith I don't understand. I blame moneyhats; but DOA2:HC gets you STOKED for limb breaking with Bayman.

You bet it is. It starts out slow but it is so pretty and then it picks up and wow. Listening to it loud with headphones on or in the car.. nothin better!

Soukaigi on PS had an amazing soundtrack. If I'm not mistaken the composer is now working on music for hentai games in Japan. Well, at least it's a paycheck.

How could I forget the seminal horror game theme?! Just listening to it and the gasps during the song and just the overall sound, so somber. I love it.
