Wierdly i'm struggling to remember somes of my older faves. Need to think harder.

From the recent past i have to say i love the intro music to Persona 3 and actually the soundtrack in general.

Lords of Thunder was released in the US, and it was one of the most popular SHMUPS to ever come out on the Duo. There was a crappy port to the Sega CD, but it just wasn't as good.

I'd agree with you that the game itself wasn't nearly as good as what it was on the Turbo Duo, but IMHO the sound track itself was better on the Sega CD version. Much cleaner, more polished.

The Silent Hill series has some great music, but Silent Hill 2 had especially great intro music:





On to the good stuff, Falcom knows how to do game music...

Ys VI - The Ark of Napishtim has one of the weakest soundtracks of the Ys series, but I always liked the intro:




Ys Origin has bad-ass intro music:




Ys I & II Complete remakes had a better intro than the Turbo version:




The Ys III remake Oath in Felghana has a much more somber intro than the other Ys games, but it's very epic sounding:
