Heres two, are all the different sound effect you use recorded by yourself or sourced from the internet?
Do you write a script for the show or do you just brainwave then record?

Hey guys, I thought it would be pertinent to create a thread where VGEvo members could give us feedback, as well as a place where you could ask Myself or RayG some questions about the show.
If you're confused by a part, or want to know more about the show, how it's made, what equipment we use, or even jokes included in the show that you may or may not have understood. This is probably gonna end up the place to put those questions, and we'll try and answer them as best as we can.
Hope you guys find this section useful.

"Hello, commander. In light of the recent extraterrestrial incursion, this council of nations has convened to approve the activation of the DownToForit XCOM project. You have been chosen to lead this initiative; to oversee our first, and last, line of defence. Your efforts will have considerable influence on this planet's future. We urge you to keep that in mind as you proceed... Good luck, commander." Follow us on twitter @downtoforitx
How long on average does it take ya to edit and add all the sound effects into an episode? Also, was Terry the Crazy Taxi announcer? Whoever it is, sounds just like the guy in the actual games!![]()

Follow me on Twitter! Follow/Like Retroids on Twitter and Facebook! Check out The UndeadCast! I talk about stuff on there!
We source them mainly online, simple things like door slams and knocks we can do ourselves, but for explosions and car screeches and stuff, its easier to get online audio, we try and find the best suited sounds to fit the needs of the script. We're quite specific that way.
And generally we brainstorm and record, unless of course theres a large monologue to record for a specific character, then we write down a vague outline of what to say and record it that way.
I can't even begin to describe how much time it takes to make the show. the average 30 minute show is probably about 30 to 40 man-hours of work, give or take depending if it's something that just flows out or whether we think for ages about good jokes and scenarios.
And yes, Terry lent us his exemplary vocal talent for episode 5, He was Trickman Terry, of course, as well as Cammie Dunnaway and the crazy taxi announcer. An extremely talented voice actor. I've found myself trying to emulate his cammie dunnaway many times after hearing it. He's awesome.

I have to say I've really enjoyed what you guys do. It's one of THE MOST entertaining podcasts I've ever heard. Keep up the awesome work and I can't wait to hear more.
I listened to episode four yesterday, where you treat The Batman Forever on the Atari Jaguar like it is the most sacred, empowering artifact ever, awesome stuff! Now you got to make the sequel tracking down the ultra-rare North American version of Jack Bros. on the Virtual Boy
I would like to say I can no longer look at a picture of Gabe Newell without hearing your voiceover work for him.... makes me laugh every time..
