General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.

Just dropped Gwyn... SL88, 67ish hours.

Uploaded my save and turned off the auto-upload just prior to the fight. I want to grind/farm a bit before I consider a NG+ (and wrap up some loose ends). Such a good game.

    Nice!

Gotta say, my urge to return to Dark Souls for my NG+ has really been rising quite a bit as of late.

Dark Souls PC embargo is over, first impressions:

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...devils-bargain
    http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012...o-die-edition/

    TL;DR horrible port, low lights:

    • locked at 30 fps (bad enough on its own, but sadly not singularly incompetent)
    • locked internal rendering resolution 1024x720, then upscaled to user preference

Ash Lake seems like an unfortunate point to key the entrance to the new area off of. It doesn't directly effect me, since I rolled back my save to pre-final boss after finishing the game and had been down there already, but if I were to do it all over again I don't think I would even bother with the Great Hollow or Ash Lake.

I'm planning on heading into NG+ after I complete the DLC on the normal playthrough - the quality of it is going to need to be pretty good for me to care about heading through GH/AL again to get to it.

Yeah, I agree. Ash Lake is pretty much my least favorite part of the game. That place really drags for me, along with the hollow. It was the only area I completely missed my first time through the game, and when i went back and did it in NG+ it was completely throwaway.

I would think putting in the forest where you get the ring of Artorias would have made more sense, but ah well.

That brings about an interesting point. If you don't get an online message from someone else and don't investigate the content outside of game - I'm really unsure how you would even know that those areas even exist. It's a really large stretch for anyone that would be willing to buy the DLC to *not* know about GH/AL, but that could be a real annoyance to someone spending money on the content.

I can't really say what would "make sense" or not from a world design perspective without seeing how the transportation occurs or seeing what the area looks like with my own eyes, but I would've rather they connected optional DLC content to a required (or mostly required) area in the game. I think I'd find the same "exception" had they connected it to the Depths.

Like I said though, it doesn't really bother me because it doesn't really effect me. I just thought it was a weird decision.
