There are many awesome indie games. Some are free, some aren't. Here are a few of my recent discoveries (yes, I'm late to the party). Please feel free to add some of your favorites.

Title: Spelunky

Description: Spelunky is a cave exploration / treasure-hunting game inspired by classic platform games and roguelikes, where the goal is to grab as much treasure from the cave as possible. Out of the box joypad support, fullscreen mode, etc



Title: Joy To Key

Description: converts joystick input into keyboard input (and mouse input), great for games with no native joypad support

I'm seriously addicted to Spelunky. Even after a couple of hours there are still surprises. The gameplay got quite a bit of depth. The game is a keeper

Description: A one-button real time strategy that supports up to 4 players. Really cool indie game, particularly given the one-button limitation. Worth checking out!

Title: Hydorah

Description: left-rightly old school shoot'em up, no crazy bullet pattern, sorta gradius-like, pad support out of the box

It seems a few people have no audio with Hydorah. The game requires a system codec for MP3, some older operating systems come without it. I'd suggest to install the most excellent K-Lite pack in case of issues: http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
