First off, I wanted to say grats on the long run with the On Tap podcast. It's quite impressive that you guys have stuck with this for so long.

oh my god crap your alive! been a long time. how are you? working for the gaming industry yet?

im doing about the same as usual. pretty much the only thing that has changed is i am not a lotro (lord of the rings online) addict and i am married to a beautiful lotroholic

Glad to hear things are going well for you. You still play any MMOs? I'm still playing FFXI (look what you started). I still enjoy it a lot (it's gotten MUCH better over the years) but damned if I hardly ever have time to play it anymore.

I'm not working for the game industry. I've moved on from that idea after learning more about it. I'm currently a software engineer for a consulting firm here in Indiana.

I also have a few side projects that I've been working on. My personal favorite of my side projects is the one listed in my sig.

Oh, and on the "how are you?" question. I'm doing great. Married, living in a house, and we had our first kid back in August (a girl).

congrats on the kid Phil! How is the progress coming on getting 1000 gamerscore in FFXI? I think I recall seeing an interview in Game Informer several months back interviewing the first and only person to do so and he said it took nearly a 1000 hours all together. Oh yeah, you have any more surprise cameos on reality tv shows?

Things have been going allright for me lately, as you can see we still do the podcast and I occasionally freelance some articles over at robotpanic.com

i gave up ff11 along time ago. been playing lord of the rings online for the last 4 years. it is far better then ff11 imo. there are some things i miss about ff11 but there are tons of things in lotro to make up for it.

Nah, I'm nowhere near a 1,000 gamerscore on FFXI. My friend Quincy is probably pretty close though.

No reality TV show cameos. In fact, the one that I had last mentioned never made it on the air because the show got cancelled about 4 episodes in.

Have either of you kept up with anyone else from the vgpub days? I occasionally see John show up on google chat though we never talk. Haven't really heard anything from anyone else though.

How are they doing? I haven't really heard hardly anything from them since the vgpub forums died.
