Seriously? Nothing?
Over the last 6 months or so, we've really been making some changes to formats, trying out new segments and the like. We would love to hear any feedback you may have on the show, as it's hard to tell how different things are perceived when all you do is talk into a microphone. So please, any suggestions you may have for the show, throw them up here. We would love the constructive criticism.
Thanks!
Seriously? Nothing?
Other than the fact that I would like to see more top 5s I think that the Goo is fine as it is.
I think the biweekly thing helps, you just don't get tired of the format that quickly. Also it's not always top5s, so it might be a couple of weeks before the segments repeat.
Well, maybe you could improve community interaction, Leo and Adam are such a rare sight here at retroids.
It would also be great to release topics earlier and not just by twitter. I always end up listening to the podcast, but never had a chance to contribute, because I missed the announcement of the topics/segments.
Try making threads for your top 5s? That'd probably help get a lot more listener participation.
Scott... you and I have chatted about this offline and I think you guys are on the right track. You have several different types of "feature" formats in the top 5, feature discussion and now the hit it and quit it (which I freakin love!). I say stick to your guns man... Mix it up and the format won't get stale.
Constructive criticism time: Outside of that... I've always thought that Adam didn't assert himself enough during back and forth discussions. I have a lot of similar tastes with Adam and I like hearing his views. Adam... you should definitely cut off these other two fools on the podcast once in a while.![]()

Saw you link to this thread in your "Next on the GOO" thread, so I thought I'd revive it with some things I think I may have mentioned before, but just briefly. So without further adieu, let's see the "Top 5 Suggestions from one Mr. Shadow Hado"... Oh wait, that requires me to think of a whole 5 suggestions. ****. Well, I only gotz two, so... Top Two Suggestions? Lol
2. More web content! I know, it's kinda cheating, but it's show related. I love reading your hands-on, late to the party articles, game (or hardware?) reviews, news quick impressions, etc., just as much as I enjoy listening to the show. I know you guys are usually pretty scarce on the free time, but here's to hoping!
1. More special episodes, specifically referring to the FFVII show you guys did. I just heard that for the first time late last year, but it's one of my favorites ever. I know this more or less could require you all to play the same game, possibly even at the same time, but I've been trying to think of ways around that. What if you guys just did some special "In Retrospect" or "Back in the Day" type shows? You could find a game you all have already played, and discuss it at length, or even just for one segment of a show. It would help re-live the memories, so to speak. Let's say you picked... I dunno... SMB 3, just for an example. Sure, you might not remember all of the secrets, every stage, etc. etc. but it would just be cool to hear how you guys remember the game now, how you played it then, what you associate it with, how you think it holds up, what a current gen version would be like, etc. You could maybe even do those shows/segments as call-in shows so that your listeners could chime in. "hey guys!! OMGZ do you remember the little/BIG World where you could ride in the giant shoe?! Did you guys ever try...etc." The truth is, that it's prolly getting harder and harder for you guys to think of current / future topics or Top 5's because you have already covered SO much. So why not talk about the good ol' days!
That's really all I gots at the moment. Thanks guys, keep up the awesome show!
P E A Ce!
