    Hey fellas, I updated some of my combos in the thread with video clips of them being performed. They don't have any sound, but that doesn't matter. You can see how brutal they are!

    KABAL doesn't have many special moves, and neither does he have many dial combos. But what he lacks in strength and ability he more than makes up for with ease of execution. Here are a couple of pretty easy, but also pretty damaging combos for him:

    start with:
    jump in and punch, back+1, 2, 1, dash, forward+3, 2, kabal rush, forward+3, 2,
    finish that off with:
    spinning blades 11 hits 35% damage or
    plasma ball 11 hits 34% damage or
    hooksword throw 12 hits 35% damage

    You can also do a really nice and easy X-Ray combo:
    jump in and punch, back+1, 2, 1, dash, forward+3, 2, X-Ray 10 hits 42% damage

    You may think adding more hits to the x-ray combo couldn't hurt, but Kabal suffers a LOT of damage reduction the further the combo is strung. Removing a lot of his x-ray's effectiveness. Don't even do his Kabal rush move for an extra hit, that takes the combo down to 39% damage!

    I've been messing around with Scorpion more, and have found that the JOP for him is crucial for maximizing his damage!
    Here are a few combos using his Jumping Overhead Punch! (JOP = Up and punch, to make them bounce)

    JOP, dash, back+2, jump forward kick -> teleport punch, dash, 1, 1, spear, forward+2, 1, x-ray 12 hits, 45%

    Using the same base combos with a couple of minor changes:
    JOP, dash, back+2, jump kick -> teleport punch, dash, 1, 1, 1 spear, forward+2, 1, leg scissor takedown 12 hits 38%
    JOP, dash, back+2, jump forward kick -> teleport punch, dash, 1, 1, 1, spear, forward+2, 1, teleport punch 12 hits, 40%
    Jump IN and punch, 1, 1, spear, JOP, Back+2, jump kick -> teleport punch, jump kick -> teleport punch 10 hits, 44%
    Jump IN and punch, 1, 1, spear, JOP, Back+2, jump kick -> teleport punch, dash, 2, 1, x-ray 13 hits, 49%

    He's actually a lot better than I gave him credit for. Unfortunately, to get a sizable amount of damage, the Jumping Overhead Punch MUST be performed.

    Ironically, using Sub-Zero's JOP has the adverse effect of lowering the damage he causes... Hmm... interesting.
    While we're at it, I noticed the subzero x-ray combo that i posted in my first post was unnecessarily long. Believe it or not, you get the same amount of damage from simply tapping 2, 1, 3, x-ray!

    I also found a nice corner combo for subby:
    2, 1, 3, frost bolt, 2, 1, 3, slide 9 hits, 38%
    Get this, though, if you enhance the frost bolt as well, you gain an additional 3% damage, even though the frost bolt doesn't add damage or extra hits It's mental!

    Enjoy!

    THEY FIXED QUAN CHI!
    He's now able to once again move freely after using his mind control move! Which opens up a whole 'nother can of whupp ass!

    Remember the combos I told you about in my first post? Good, because they're pretty much the same combo, except you jump in and punch the opponent at the beginning, and now that he's able to freely move during the mind control, jump in again with another punch. So it should look like this:

    Jump in and punch, 1, 1, 2, mind control, jump in and punch, 1, 1, 2, teleport stomp 13 hits, 36% (48% with boost!)
    Jump in and punch, 1, 1, 2, mind control, jump in and punch, back+2, 1, dash, 2, 1, x-ray 13 hits, 47% (62% with boost)

    Notice the difference in damage those 2 extra jump-in punches make? a clear 6% and 8% respectively for the first combo and a whopping 5% and 9% for the x-ray combo!

    Another bonus to him being able to move freely during his mind control move is the ability to experiment with other things he may be able to do! Go on folks, go nuts! GO WILD!

    welcome back, Quan Chi... The ultimate badass.

    KENSHI is a real badass in the game. Not for his high damage, but for basic setups that he can link many of his specials into. Granted he has a relatively medium scale damage reduction. But from just playing him for a couple of hours today, I've picked up a couple of small combos for him.

    forward+2, 2, back+1, dash, forward+2, 2, rising karma, forward+2, 2, back+2 9 hits 32%
    forward+2, 2, back+1, dash, forward+2, 2, rising karma, forward+2, 2 spirit charge 10 hits 32%
    forward+2, 2, back+1, dash, forward+2, 2, rising karma, forward+2, 2, x-ray 11 hits, 41%
    1, 1, 4, rising karma, dash, forward+2, 2, spirit charge 8 hits, 28%
    forward+2, 2, back+1, dash 2, 1, back+2, spirit charge 8 hits 34%
    forward+2, 2, back+1, dash, 2, 1, rising karma, dash, forward 2, 2, x-ray, 11 hits, 44% damage

    as you can see, his forward+2, 2, back+1 is a great opener that allows for some moderate damage combos. And, as per usual, you can gain around another 3% damage if you jump in and punch first!

    DAMN! SKARLET IS AMAZING! She has a terrible damage reduction on her x-ray, and it doesnt do a lot of damage in the first place, but with that in mind, check out these few awesome combos I've produced with a couple of hours practice.

    These combos use the opener forward+2, 1, 2, 1+2 which is called "Flesh and Blood" in the combo list:

    Flesh and Blood, Red dash, Up Slash, dash, back+1, 1, forward+4, Red Dash, X-ray 15 hits, 41%
    The above combo travels a lot of distance, so if they're near the corner when you're done, you can to this:
    Flesh and Blood, Red dash, Up Slash, dash, back+1, 1, forward+4, Red Dash, Up Slash, 1, 1, X-ray 18 hits, 41%
    It doesn't do any more damage, but it does 18 hits instead of 15, adding more insult to your opponent

    EDIT: I've since learned that if you perform the combo too far away from the opposite corner the x-ray will not connect at the end. Make sure you're at MOST just under half the arena length away from the sides.
    It's lame, I know, but I'd rather the combo was actually doable than you trying forever and not hitting it because of your position in the arena.

    Here's a simpler version of that combo for when the opponent is in the corner!
    Flesh and Blood, Down Slash, back+1, 1, forward+4, X-ray. 15 hits, 43%
    This combo does 2% more damage, and is FAR easier to perform because of the lack of "red dash" required, but it's in the corner, and who knows when you'll get them there, right?

    Flesh and Blood is a fantastic opener to combo into her special moves as well, try it out comboing from that to throwing her knives, or red dashing into her slide or even her teleport stab. Don't forget to enhance these moves for bonus damage too! They all work well, it's just unfortunate that Flesh and Blood itself is awkward to perform on a game pad.

    One last thing, I've found that if you press toward or back +2 while Red Dashing you can do her up or down slash without having to do the complete motion:

    Red Dash, forward+2 = Red Dash > Up Slash
    Red Dash, back+2 = Red Dash > Down Slash

    I hope you all find these tips useful!

    Default Re: Mortal Kombos - Update - SKARLET!

    I've found a way to perform SKARLET's X-Ray combo without needing to have a particular arena position. It was fairly simple to figure out. And if you haven't already, here's what you do:

    Flesh and Blood, Red Dash, Up Slice, dash, back+1, 1, Red Dash, Red Slide, X-ray!

    believe it or not. This can be done out into the open, AND it deals an extra 1% damage! it's 15 hits. 42% damage! AND - If you jump in and punch using 1 before the beginning of the combo, it does 16 hits, 45% damage. How good is that? C'mon?

    If you want, you can still do it the old way, but to gain enough ground to hit the x-ray do a red dash beforehand... I wouldn't recommend it though, seeing as this new way does more damage and is a lot easier to perform.
