General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.

I submitted our Retroids room schedule to Dan. After it's posted on the MGC site and I get confirmation of a few other things, I'll put up a schedule here for everyone to check out.

Hehe, I really didn't have time for this right now with all the other MGC stuff we're working on, but I figured doing a vendor write up would be helpful for folks heading to the MGC next week. The list on the official site is helpful, but it doesn't have an option for splitting things up by just what they sell which is what I did:

    Niche/Sponsor:
    • Acklein Baby Photography - Responsible for the slew of great MGC photos used in the media and on the MGC websites lately.
    • Cheetahmen - Makers of the Cheetahmen: The Creation game for NES.
    • Chaos reigns - Rotary Jaguar controllers for Tempest 2000.
    • Gamers Daily News - Video game media group.
    • Jersey Jack Pinball - Makers of the upcoming The Emerald City Limited Edition Wizard of Oz pinball machine.
    • Rainarc Rhapsody - Commission artists that make their unique skills available at the MGC.
    • The Game Store - Table top gaming that specialize in games ranging from Warhammer to Axis and Allies to card games like Magic: The Gathering.
    • Wandcrafters - Hand crafted magic wands and writing instruments including a variety of pens.
    • Wizzywig Collectibles - Specializes in Japanese pop culture including video game toys and Japanese snacks.

    Arcade:
    • Arcade Adventures, Inc. - Buy/sell/repair arcade video and pinball machines, new and used equipment
    • Dan's Arcade Stuff - Parts and other equipment to decorate a game room.
    • Dreampins - Pinball parts and related equipment.
    • Epic Electronics & Gaming - (also in Console Games)
    • Gavin's Game Service - Arcade video and pinball machines as well as repair.
    • O-Nett Gaming Co. - (also in Console Games)
    • Paul Reno's Home Game room Supply - Arcade video and pinball machines as well as game room supplies.
    • Pinball Life - Pinball parts shop that sells everything from legs to LED's & Chrome kits.
    • Pincades - Sells a variety of arcade equipment from pinball to air hockey. Chicago land distributor for Jersey Jack Pinball.
    • YellowSwitch - Local collector looking to downsize his collection of video arcade & pinball parts, machines, as well as video game consoles and games.

    Console Games:
    • Atarian75 - Local collector selling everything from Atari to PlayStation
    • Beef Min Games - Collectors specializing in NES games but also sell everything from early Atari to current PlayStation
    • Epic Electronics & Gaming - Retro & Current console games, arcade games and equipment including PCB's for superguns, console modifications and repairs.
    • Game Guys - Jack of all trades for largely retro consoles up to Genesis, toys, posters, DVD's, and accessories.
    • Games 'n Stuff - Collector that specializes in all eras of video game consoles.
    • GOAT Store - Specializes in gaming consoles from the early Atari and Intellivision days to the Dreamcast including independent Dreamcast releases like Irides.
    • Hyperkin - Maker of several quality peripherals and retro game consoles.
    • Jedi Master Thrash's Toys & Collectables - Console games from Atari to the original Xbox as well as several comic books, card games, and toys from Transformers to G.I. Joe.
    • Kristine Roper (Game Swag) - Specializes in the swag given out at trade events like E3 or stores as well as selling much of her own collection of video games this year.
    • Mad-Gear - Premium import games from early Famicom to current consoles.
    • O-Nett Gaming Co. - Specializing in retro consoles but also sells modern games as well as video arcades.
    • Timber & The Duke's Triad Game Shop - Ohio collectors that specialize in everything from Atari to Xbox 360.
    • Trade-N-Games - Large vendor specializing in Atari, NES, SNES, Colecovision, N64 games, and more.
    • Universal Collectibles - Vendor sells everything from Atari to Xbox 360 with an attention to detail.
    • Video Games Then & Now - Sells games and accessories from Atari to Xbox 360.

    Hope this helps!

    Later.

It appears as if Mysterious Song has suffered a delay at the CD manufacturers (they apparently didn't realize that PCE games 'buzz' if you try to listen to track #2 on a CD player, so they held it up), therefore copies won't be available for sale until after the show, unfortunately. On the flip side, the developers will have a playable Mysterious Song demo there for the first time anywhere!

We also received word that we will have another demo of an upcoming Super CD game called Jungle Bros. available for the first time at the MGC! The game looks great! Take a look:

Plan right now is that both games will be on display in the museum hall, just outside of the Die-Hard Gamer room.

    Later.

Nope. If they have a setup anywhere, I'm not sure where it is. I know something will be going on with TG a couple of rooms down in the Star Worlds Arcade room on Saturday.

Thanks for putting this on. 'Good to talk to ya, Ken, Terry, Dan, and Carlson again.
Anybody I didn't get to see, sorry about that (Mark 'n Jessie). I was certainly drunk and lost in many small rooms.

Big ups for setting up a DDPDOJ cab.

Huge thanks to everyone putting on the show this year - was a great time. I liked the Retroids setup this year - allowed us to display show banners and advertise, but more space to hang out. Having Galloping Ghost with so many cabinets was a perfect fit.

Sat night was also a blast, playing plenty of SFxTekken, among other fighters- also played Rock Band for the first time in years!

Great stories to remember from this year, and I'll be posting a thread with all pictures soon!

Had a great time for my first year. I was really glad to finally put faces to everyone's name. I will definitely try to make it out next year. Thank you guys for all of the effort you put into this.
