My friend got it, and I had the chance to play it at his house.

It's interesting, but I'm no good at these aiming and shooting games.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't say they made it easier, it's probably a bit harder I think, but then again a guy could concentrate on being the base maintenance and resource guy.

UPDATE: Right on the starhawk server update 1.0.3, all players are welcome to discuss publicly and post game play videos outside the official forums.

I have a code for the multiplaye rpublic beta but it says early 2012. Did the public beta start already?

No it hasn't started yet, this beta is still private although not really because they gave out tons of codes to generate hype. Not sure when this one ends and the Uncharted 3 Starhawk beta starts. Haven't seen any definite dates other than "early 2012"

So this video will either sell you or not, this guy is actually really freaking good, although he does on numerous occasions totally ignore that it's a CTF game and not TDM, still he pretty much lays out the mechanics perfectly if you were wondering. And his commentary is also kind of funny "get pooped on!"

I'm really enjoying the beta and as of this week, the beta has gone completely public. Anyone can download it now. Look for me on the battlefield, I'm usually on during the weekends.

Jumped on a bit in the last couple days. I see the skills are now added. I am so impressed with how smooth this game runs. They've messed me up a little now with the higher jetpack cost, but I've adjusted. Also it seems that there is portion of the map in enemy territory where you cannot sabotage turrets. Hats off to LBI for making this game right with a proper beta and listening and tweaking.

THIS GAME HAS FULLY CONFIGURABLE SERVERS WITH PRIVATE SLOTS!!!!! YES. When was the console game with that? KZ2? This is really the perfect game for retroids, easy to make a server, great open chat (no warhawk charlie brown), and tons of ways to play.

I really liked warhawk and there are still aspects such as tanks and apc that I think were better, but this game allows the ground troop to be a force with great 3rd person shooting.

Yea this game is shaping up nicely. I didn't even know they upped the cost of Jetpacks.
