In the options menu, somewhere under the graphics settings, I disabled the Post Processing effects, and that cleared up the issue for me.

And that's why I didn't experience any issues then, I turned all that off before getting into the game just so my laptop could run it

Anyone played much of this since its release?

So far I've put about 6 or so hours into it and I'm really enjoying it. While the story is a little slow off the mark it certainly picks up a few quests down the line, however if you don't want to do that quest line there's several faction quest lines and a bucketload of side quests you can do, all of which seem okay so far. The combat is what's driving the game at this point though. As the amount of abilities increases you've got more and ways to defeat your enemy which is always good, but the main point for me is they've made magic classes actually fun to play. I nearly always play mage classes but find the combat is lacking. Here you can use two different weapons, I currently use Staffs and Chakrams, the latter of which are similar to the God of War dagger on chains weapon/move that you can use in a few different ways, on top of the magic casting spells which require a little more finesse to use effectively in combat. I've found it all too easy to button mash my way through combat, but when you get the hang of using spells mid fight it really makes it even more enjoyable. If people want to play something a little more relaxed and casual than Skyrim with a far better combat system I'd definitely check it out.

A quick note on the apparent bugs in this game. I've played about 10hours of the game now and only experienced 2 momentary bugs. I am playing on PS3. The first time was when locking into a character to talk, it got stuck behind a corner of a wall and the camera went underground. Backing out of the talk option and going in again solved this issue. The second time was during a Fate shift, again during the final QTE the camera went through the floor giving an obscured view of the QTE, but it was still playable and fixed its self when it was over. These are the only 2 major "bugs" I've noticed in my first 10 hours play time.

I think the biggest bug concerns were because of the issues found in the demo. It was only later revealed that the demo code was 3 months old at the time of its release.

Yeh, I just thought I should make a point of saying I've experienced very few bugs at this point, and so that shouldn't put people off what is so far a very enjoyable game.

Anyone else found out how pointless aoe attacks are? Every aoe attack I've come across requires you to hold down the button for about 3 seconds without being interrupted, which is next to impossible as fighting multiple mobs means having them launch themselves at you constantly. The only way I've managed to get an aoe attack is in by completely running out of the fight and letting it charge, but by being out the fight it only gets one or two enemies, defeating the purpose of an aoe attack.

They're prety pointless early on in the game but later on you get some cool stuff that'll stun multiple enemies(like lightening chain) then when they're stunned go for the big aoe attacks.......but that being said I'm playing Finesse/Sorc and I rarely ever use aoe attacks at all

Finally settling into Reckoning and I'm really digging it so far. My only complaint (and it's a kind of lame one) is that there is almost too much to do.
You stroll into any town and there are 50 new quests to take, most of which are pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
Me being me, I take them all, because I have to. My map is lousy with white circles at all times.
Currently into: 15th century villages, poutine, and holding onto a play off spot
