  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. Default Looking Back at the PS2 - Talk about a backlog. . .

Based on a conversation about the PS2 on the PS Nation podcast a few weeks back, I was inspired to dig out my console. I was a late adopter, and I only played 'God of War' on it before I ended up with a PS3 soon after. However, in the past few weeks I've been able to easily get copies (through friends, inexpensive eBay bids, etc.) of many of the system's 'classic' games that I've never had a chance to play.

It's like having a brand new system. I don't even mind the older graphics on my HD TV. I've just finished Metal Gear Solid 2, and more than ten years after its release, I'm amazed at how great it is. I'm now working my way through Final Fantasy X.

Next up are Beyond Good & Evil, Resident Evil 4, Persona 4, and Psychonauts, among others.

Some games I haven't been able to stick with, like Oni. Maybe it still has its fans, but I found it too much effort for not enough returns.

Any other people out there who've only now been (re)discovering the PS2 and its games?

You can't go wrong with PS2, one of the biggest and most diverse library of quality games. I've been there for the whole time and still discover gems that I've previously missed

Yeahhhh, my backlog is sizeable for a slightly different reason. I have 61 PS2 games and I'd say about 40 of those I need to finish. I buy games because I like collecting them. And although I do feel sometimes like I have some sort of obligation to finish them, I know I don't have to - I play games, games don't play me. Oh and I just bought God Hand yesterday, waiting for it coming through the door

That being said I still play my PS2 and recently just completed Resident Evil 4 on it for the first time, loved it to bits. I'm currently going through Resident Evil remake on the Wii (I've been on a Resi binge since the announcement trailer to RE6)

I highly reccommend Persona 3 FES as well - although you only have total control over the protagonist during battles, the story and character development is crazy good.

Wow PS2 also had great shmups like Gradius III-V, Raiden III, Street Fighter Alpha Collections, SNK Neo Geo Games too many to mention here, Silpheed, Taito Collections 1 and 2. DOA Hardcore, and more. Now with Sony adding them to the PS3 store area you can soon pick up rare titles that would cost a mint. I been lucky to go to a media store to pick up titles cheap, but the last game I got there though was Yakuza 2 for $5 last November. PS2 is Sony system that made games that to this date are still fun to play. Just like Nintendo console system with a huge collection would be the SNES.

Good choice on the Yakuza 2 Mike! Fantastic series - probably my fave SEGA franchise!

My favorite is MGS than Yakuza on PS2.
