Agreed... that would have been a great way to get the fans behind you.
for real tho.....they could have paid one of the fan art creators. Took a vote on the site or something.

Real gamers are fanboys of games... not consoles // TT: Fear not sans genitalia fairy!

One more thing to add to the indoctrination debunk...
During the Thessia mission, the VI shuts down once it detects an incoming "indoctrinated" presence, Kei Leng & Cerberus. Why didn't it shut down once it detected you if you were already indoctrinated? Then again on the Cerberus base the VI helps you... That kinda shoots a hole in the whole "the kid is a figment of your indoctrinated mind" and that the dreams were a part of the indoctrination.

DHG... that's the main factor to me thinking the indoctrinated theory is junk. I understand that the game has plot holes... but that piece of it seems pretty clear to me.

Played through my Insanity playthrough and completed it again recently; this time with the sound up high and no-one around to see me cry.
That piano track gets to me; I think it works so well with all the blowing up stuff that is happening around you, and the Relays exploding, essentially ending civilization as a whole.
This is the third time I've played to that ending (my first choosing the Green ending) and I have to say it has left me happiest; seeing Joker and EDI happily stare into the distance left me with some closure, knowing that I did some good in the galaxy in the end besides ending the Reaper attack.
With that being said, I am looking forward to seeing what this Final Cut DLC has in store.

Just finished my second playthrough.
What a brilliant game!

I believe during the Mass Effect panel at PAX East, the Bioware guys said that (in reference to the indoctrination theory) that it proved that the fans cared to look at the series in that light, and to discuss it to that point.
Sounds like they are pretty much shooting it down to me, but I guess we will all know come this summer.

Well I just finished the game for the first time and had absolutely no problem with the ending, I DO so dearly want more clarification on what happened but really the little boy kinda told you everything really.
I destroyed the reapers seeing as Sheppard basically said it would give us a chance to decide our own fate on our own terms. Although I was half way up the other ramp when I decided to turn around.
Man I would pay awesome money to see a 120min length anime in the style of appleseed about Mass Effect.
Still my favorite series this gen. What a great game. Mass Effect 1 still my favorite, two was good but just ok this one was great over all.
New support for the indoctrination theory... The space hamster!
You thought that reapers were only big, hulking things, but they could also be small, cuddly (on the outside) creatures that slowly indoctrinate the minds of their 'owners' one day at a time since Mass Effect 2. Just think, every time you tap on the glass, it says "meep" which is eerily similar to the booming sound Reapers make when they show up, only on a much small scare, of course!
Scary, really.
