    Default A PS3 Dilemma

    Hey guys,
I'm a through and through PC gamer, but not really by choice. I lived on campus at college this past year, and not having a TV in my absurdly tiny dorm room, I fell out of the habit of playing my Xbox 360. Even now it sits in my room playing netflix as I type this. Now, most of my friends play games on PS3 (and by most, I have 1 friend who plays Xbox360, and way way more who play PS3). I've been contemplating buying a PS3 of my own so I can finally get back into console gaming. Now, here is my question. Is buying a PS3 now really worth it or should I wait for the next gen of Playstation?

Yeah I've seen a few rumors kickin around suggesting next year's E3, but nothing is certain.
Its mostly due to me having a severely limited source of income (that being an annual drumline check from the line at my college)

Buying a system late in its life cycle is pretty awesome, prices are down and quality games are plentiful. The next systems on the other hand: pricy and few great launch games.

Sure you don't just want me out of the Retroids arcade?
    Haha just kidding.

If anyone finds a SFxT ps3 bundle, i'm sold on it.
Otherwise, any recommendations on which version/bundle to buy would be much appreciated.

    Busted, hehe.

I'd just go with the smallest HDD and cheapest system you can find. HDD upgrades are super easy and cheap. Sony rarely bundles with 3rd party games, so not sure if you'll find a SFxT one. 1st and 2nd party games get added a lot: GT5, Uncharted, Killzones, etc

Sounds pretty good to me, 120GB will last you a long time being new to the platform and all.

Not exactly new. I used to have a PS3 (my brother took it with him when he moved out, leaving me the 360) but you're right in that aspect. I won't have money I can spend on something like this till the end of the month at least. So, I'll keep looking around.

If you're that strapped for cash have you considered selling the 360? PS3 will be able to do netflix as well so it seems like it'd be a good idea for you to sell it. Power on through any lingering unfinished 360 games you may have, and switch consoles is what I would recommend.
