The rules are easy. Don't be a douchebag. We ban douchebags.
General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.

The deathmatch mode is only hawks which is kind of dumb not in itself but for the lack of groundbased deathmatch.

I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm sure you can have pure space dogfights. I think in dogfight mode you can't change to mech so the magic gravity would not be an issue. I'll try it out at lunch and see.
I'm going to guess not. Now that I reflect upon it the Hawk controls have no retrorocket interface, so Lightbox most likely went with planes in space rather than the X-Wing/Tie Fighter or Wing Commander space battles.

Looking back through today's eyes I can't believe this game was so mind blowing when I was in high school. :P

    Or this.

Hopefully Starlight Inception turns out well (some of the old LucasArts guys working on it), and since it will be on the PSP Vita that will be another incentive to pick up a Vita down the road.

I'm going to be on tonight and I'll make some 8 vs 8 CTF open mic password protected smaller maps. We had about 8 retroiders on a 32 player map last night which was very cool, but it would be good to let some of the new guys learn some of the in's and outs without just constantly being hawk fodder. I'll be launching the server about 8pm MST.

Super sorry but I'm going to be late, my kid has hockey in the city which is an hour away, so I'm probably not going to be ready till 9PM MST

Good video and decent commentating. It is of fundamental importance to upgrade to something anti vehicle at the start of the match as you point out. I sniped a lot in the beta but so far not much in the retail, I'll probably get back into it for some variety from the hawk and shotgun. I do love to sneak in on camping snipers and give them the ol' knife work.

I picked up the game yesterday. I'm going to run through the single player first to try and get a grasp on the mechanics, and then get into the multiplayer. I never played Warhawk, and shooters are far from my genre of choice. However, everything I have seen and read about this game has me interested.

I was wondering if there were groups of people who plan to get together to learn the game. I know Zeroes is the official clan, but I never played Warhawk, so I'm very much in the noob status. PSN: GhostPHEONIX

No problem, although there are 5 or 6 of us that are pretty serious in the clan the rest are pretty casual. If you need to some help we could do a private server and show the ropes minus stomping you (Literally in the case of the mech). Let me know if you want in the Zeroes.
