Excellent episode guys.Man, there are so many great tracks that you guys talked about that I love to listen to over and over. Also, I didn't mention it in my e-mail but Bloody Tears is I think my favorite song from the series and after listening I should go back and play all the CV games that I own.
I really like Ebony Wings which I think was originally from Order of Ecclesia but the version I like was the remix from the Harmony of Despair. Harmony of Despair in general has great versions of a lot of the music.
From what I hear the biggest issues most people seem to have with the Simon's Quest is that due to the poor translation it's rather unclear where your supposed to be going. The people in the towns are supposed to provide you with hints but this got lost in somewhere in the localization process.
Also Chris technically Maria being playable wasn't a new addition in the PSP version of Symphony of the Night since she was playable in the Saturn version. Just sayin.
Definitely love that track. It did originate in OoE and the HoD remix is really good. But most of the HoD versions of the different tracks were pretty awesome. The mix of Vampire Killer on HoD is one of my favorites b/c it integrates some of the original chip tunes into a pretty awesome rock remix.
True enough. I probably would have had many more problems with that game if it weren't for the Nintendo Power issue I mentioned on the show.
Well aware good sir. I own the Japanese Saturn version of the game too and beat that version with Maria. I was just mentioning that she was there... I didn't say it was her first appearance.
She also played completely different between the two games. The Saturn version gave her martial art type standard attacks where Dracula X Chronicles made her gameplay closer to that of Rondo of Blood.
