I'm mikestrife on the Nintendo network.

I'm enjoying the system overall, but have a fair amount of complaints, mostly with how the Wii menu works.

I've given up on caring about Nintendo's putting out a hardcore system, I already have two of those (three if you count the PC), I don't really need another. I don't mind the WiiU just being for quirky games and the typical Nintendo experience. Really excited for Pikmen 3 and sounds like Bayonetta 2 is going to stay exclusive.

That note about the region locking is BS, but I bet someone will have a hack for it soon. Through the Wii menu most of the old exploits still work so it's only a matter of time.

I got me a Deluxe. Have an interesting story about going to Target at 7am, so stay tuned to the next IPP for that.

I really like it. My NN is ALFighter27.

There are plenty of complaints to be had. The console-locked Nintendo Network ID BS is my biggest. I am pretty sure they will solve that with some system transfer software in the future, or with firmware, but that is a huge mistake right out of the gate.

Other than that, the load times kind of suck between menus, it looks a lot like Wii, so if you didn't like that this won't be winning any favors.

There is definitely a lot of potential and a lot to love though. You have Usernames, you have Miiverse which is totally awesome and has already been a breeding ground for fantastic fan-art and finding people to play games in, and there are some great launch games (Scribblenauts and ZombiU specifically).

Stay tuned to IPP for more of my thoughts.

Very well said, and I completely agree. Since the "typical nintendo experience" Is generally of such high quality I have no problem with all the third party shovelware because it's easy to gloss over. However I think I have to wait on this until either a price drop or 3D Mario or Zelda hits. If however, they gave windwaker or mario 64 the HD treatment it would go along way to making me want it sooner.

I'm braun6 and have really been enjoying the WiiU

So far I have picked up:
    ZombiU
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed
    Epic Mickey 2
Nano Assault Neo (from the Nintendo Store)

I've been gravitating to those games that allow gameplay on either the TV or directly on the Gamepad. So far, Sonic and Nano Assault accommodate for this from the list of games that I have. Also, playing co-op on either of these games has been great as one player uses the TV while the other uses the gamepad. I've never been a fan of split-screen and this is a wonderful answer to that dilemma.

Games that I'm looking forward to:
    Lego City Undercover
    The Wonderful 101
    Rayman Legends
    Bayonetta 2
    Pikmin 3
Resident Evil Revelations (it was just rumored to also support full gamepad gameplay)

Been playing a lot of Lego City Undercover on the WiiU lately. It's like playing GTA in the Lego universe. Everything works really well, except for the driving - and there is a lot of that. The driving sections of this game really hinder it from being a favorite Lego game of mine. If you're thinking about grabbing a copy prepare yourself for a lot of load screens. Still, fans of the Lego series will find a lot to do here. Recommended, but with some caution.
