Super excited for this one due to former Capcom character artist designs and Guardian Heroes staff working on the game.
Hopefully there's no silly censorship.Earlier today, we reported that a North American publisher had picked up Nintendo 3DS brawler, Code of Princess, for release in the U.S. We can now confirm that the publisher is Atlus USA. Atlus will release Code of Princess sometime this fall.
Developed by members of the team that produced Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn, Code of Princess is a brawler that features four playable characters in the game’s singleplayer mode, but also lets you play as enemies and even villagers in its multiplayer mode.
Pre-ordering Code of Princess at select retailers will net you a Sound & Visual Books, containing a collection of art from Kinu Nishimura, who created the game’s world, and soundtrack music from ACE.
Although region locking limiting my purchase options means I may wait to see if anybody picks up Senran Kagura Burst for US release as well. Come on XSEED or Atlus again.

Hands on impressions!
Read full impressions at Siliconera. At first glance, Code of Princess on the Nintendo 3DS looks a lot like Guardian Heroes, which was developed by the same team. It’s a side-scrolling brawler with three planes to jump in and out of (a lovely effect in 3D, by the way), and the way that it structures its story scenes are quite reminiscent of the Sega Saturn classic. However, the combat sets it apart.
Unlike Guardian Heroes, Code of Princess doesn’t use any fighting game-style inputs for special attacks. Instead, combat is based around combining directions with Light (, Heavy (A), and Target (Y) attack buttons. Despite the lack of special attacks, the game’s combat was pretty flexible in my experience playing it on the E3 show floor this week.
Sounds awesome!

Game released this week.
Did anybody pick it up?
It's fantastic.
Atlus did a great job localizing this.

My copy is currently being shipped to me and I can't wait to check it out.
They chose a pretty bad week to put this out though and I suspect this will get overlooked by a ton of people.
I got it... I can definitely feel the Guardian Heroes in it.
Love it!

I have it, but not the 3DS system yet. Figure I should support the game on launch.
I have a 3DS on layaway so I'm slowly paying it off. I'll probably have the system paid off next month.
