General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*
* : Depending on the settings chosen by the administrator(s) of the forum, you might not have access to all these features.

Although I played the first borderlands right to the end, I didn't properly understand it fully at the time. After a good immersion in other loot games (i.e. torchlight) styled with the foundations of Diablo, all of a sudden the colour purple and DPS made a lot more sense.

As a gun owner and aficionado in real life I think the game probably resonates better with me than sword and sorcery. Seeing all the fine details, like an over/under shotgun with an ejection system that although fantasy was obviously modelled on real mechanisms really charms me.

The shooting and AI was at times a bit mundane, but it was the gun sitting down in the right corner that was the star to me.

Up until now there hasn't been a lot of in-depth real coverage other than sizzle reel, non-gameplay but I wanted to post some of the better and more recent coverage links. If anyone wants me to add more just post a link.

The PC version of Borderlands 1 is still hamstrung with bad connectivity due to gamespy implementation. You basically have to count on people knowing what port forwarding is. It was a lot better looking though if playing single player.

The 360 version and PS3 boiled down to who is on your friendslist. Most Borderlands 1 comparisons put them at parity, with PS3 with slightly better texture resolution, and with 360 with slightly better screen tear and much better splitscreen.

The question is will these platform differences change with the new Borderlands 2, because if the PC version ends up being good connectivity that is the clear choice for me, with PS3 next purely because of who I played borderlands 1 with.

So are you jonesing for Borderlands 2 and if so what platform do you think you will get the game on?

I guess if this thread fills up with 360 players I may actually get it on that instead or the PS3 version has some egregious issues. Still though, if the PC online gets un-borked that is where I will be.

I have the Ultimate Loot Chest Edition preordered on Amazon for PC. I never finished Borderlands 1, even though I have all the DLC for it. It is worth trying to finish before 2 comes out?

I am that guy. The one you know exists, but never see. That guy that does more stuff behind the scenes than you can possibly imagine. The one that you only ever see out of the corner of your eye, but when you look to see who it is you don't see anyone. I AM THAT GUY!

If I have a new pc by the time it comes out I'll probably go that route. I did pretty much everything in the 1st one on 360 and loved the dlc except for the horde mode one.
Now Playing: DCUO (PS3), Bowser's Inside Story (DS), Borderlands 2 (PC)

I'm (hopefully if they do it) going in on a 4 pack on steam. Still haven't seen any preorder details on steam yet.
